The arrival of one of the world’s most recognizable furniture and interior design brands was marked by the grand opening of the first Ashley HomeStore showroom in Montenegro, enriching the local market with another distinguished lifestyle living concept. The event gathered numerous guests from the business, diplomatic and public sectors.
On behalf of Ashley HomeStore Montenegro, showroom manager Katarina Polić addressed the guests, emphasizing that the opening represents much more than a new retail space and that this event is not merely the launch of a new showroom, but the beginning of a new story — a story about home, warmth, style and a space where the most beautiful memories are created, where family and friends gather and where life’s most important moments are shared. She expressed pride in bringing to Podgorica a brand recognized worldwide as a symbol of quality, contemporary design and accessibility — a brand that has successfully combined aesthetics and functionality for decades, always placing at the center what matters most: people and their homes.
In his ceremonial speech, Mr. Abdul Ayyad, who oversees the development and operations of Ashley HomeStore for Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia, emphasized that for more than 80 years Ashley has helped families create homes they love. He noted that it all began with a small store in America that grew into the world’s largest furniture manufacturer and one of the largest global furniture retailers, operating in more than 150 countries. Mr. Ayyad highlighted the company’s philosophy of success: “Our progress is built on one simple belief: every family deserves a home filled with quality, comfort and style.”
The event also featured remarks by Michael Keays, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Montenegro, who stressed the importance of American brands entering the Montenegrin market, as well as the strengthening of economic and business ties between the United States and Montenegro. He pointed out that the grand opening of Ashley Furniture reflects confidence in Montenegro’s future, confidence in its economy, and confidence in the growing commercial relations between the United States and Montenegro.
“Ashley HomeStore is one of the leading American global brands, operating in more than 70 countries around the world. For decades, it has built its reputation on quality, reliability, innovation and service. These characteristics represent the very best of American business. American companies succeed worldwide because they compete, innovate and deliver value. They create jobs, raise standards and build long-term relationships based on trust and shared success,” emphasized Mr. Keays.
Guests were also welcomed by Ashley HomeStore Montenegro director Budimka Polić, who stated that the showroom opening marks the beginning of a new chapter in Montenegro’s interior design and lifestyle living market. She warmly thanked everyone present for their support and trust, expressing hope that the showroom would become a place customers would always gladly return to.
